Launch of the Forum on Best Practices in the Agri-Food Supply Chain
The European Commission is launching a ’Forum on Best Practices in the Agri-Food Supply Chain’ aiming at enhancing the cooperation of primary producers, improving their position within the food supply chain and increasing the market transparency as one of the actions envisaged under the Farm to Fork Strategy.
The first session of this forum, organised by the ENRD Contact Point in partnership with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, will take the form of a workshop on ’The Farm to Fork Strategy and cooperation in the agri-food supply chain’.
The event will discuss the transition to a sustainable food system and key challenges from the perspective of farmers, producer organisations, retailers as well as Member States and the European Commission. It will present and discuss concrete experiences and relevant funding mechanisms available under the current CAP and future CAP Strategic Plans to support sustainable agri-food supply chains.
The event will be virtual only.
